David Rivera was sentenced Friday to 10 years in prison in a case involving a $50 million lobbying campaign on behalf of Venezuela during the first Trump administration.
Rivera has been jailed since a jury found him guilty in May. The convictions included failing to register as a foreign agent and conspiracy to commit money laundering in connection with work for former Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro’s government.
