38-year-old David Armeda faced charges Thursday after deputies accused him of taking mail from two buildings in Miami-Dade’s Fontainebleau area. Deputies arrested him Wednesday at Macy’s in Dadeland Mall.
Surveillance video reportedly showed mail being taken from boxes on July 31 at 9150 and 9120 Fontainebleau Boulevard. The U.S. Postal Service estimated damage to a mailbox at about $28,125.
In the July case, Armeda faced charges of criminal mischief involving $1,000 or more and knowingly taking mail from a mail depository. A separate Wednesday case included a charge of criminal use of personal identification information.
