A man faces an aggravated battery charge after a woman fell from a moving vehicle in a McDonald’s parking lot in the Naranja area of southwest Miami-Dade County and was later determined to be brain dead, according to the Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office.
What Happened
The incident took place Saturday around 8:40 a.m. at 26601 S. Dixie Highway. The woman, identified as Nikkita Wongchong, was found unconscious in the parking lot. Deputies performed CPR until paramedics arrived.
Arrest
The driver, identified as Ismel Baro Rodriguez, left the scene but was later located and arrested. He has been charged with aggravated battery with great bodily harm and is being held at Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center.
