Miami-Dade Closed or Consolidated Nine Public Schools

Miami-Dade County closed or consolidated nine public schools this summer. Dozens of other schools in the district are operating below 50% capacity.

Enrollment at Miami Killian Senior High has fallen from more than 3,000 students to 430. More than 44% of Miami-Dade pre-K-12 students attend charter schools or use taxpayer-funded vouchers for private schools.
