Citing the Florida Highway Patrol, troopers responded on August 23 to the area of Interstate 95 and Northwest 79th Street after a Flock camera alert about a reported stolen vehicle.
FHP said troopers found the stolen Honda sedan and tried to stop it, but the driver fled. Police video shows troopers pursuing the car as it moved through traffic. FHP said one PIT maneuver did not stop the vehicle, but a second PIT maneuver near Northwest 7th Avenue and Little River Drive caused the car to crash and overturn. Authorities said the driver and a passenger were taken into custody.
