A three-judge panel of the Eleventh Circuit declined to pause sanctions against Daniel Epstein while his appeal proceeds. The panel said it had significant doubts about its authority to pause the sanctions at this stage.
U.S. District Judge Kathleen Williams had barred Epstein from applying for temporary licenses to appear in Florida courts for one year. The sanctions arose from her ruling on Donald Trump’s lawsuit and proposed settlement with the IRS. The appeals panel’s order was not a final decision on the appeal.
