The Miami Beach City Commission reached a long-term agreement to keep Art Basel in the city through 2031. The fair has an option to extend its stay through 2033 and will continue at the Miami Beach Convention Center.
City Manager Eric Carpenter is authorized to finalize the event license agreement in coordination with the convention center’s operator. City spokeswoman Melissa Berthier said Art Basel drew about 80,000 visitors and generated approximately $570 million across Miami-Dade last year.
