James Edward Brock, 57, faces two counts of attempted murder after allegedly stabbing a woman and her 19-year-old son at an apartment complex in Florida City on Thursday, according to Florida City Police.
Arrest Details
Officers responded to reports of a stabbing and found Carlton Newsom, 19, with multiple stab wounds and his mother, Shalaunda Heath, also injured. Brock was taken into custody and is being held without bond at Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center.
Court Order
A judge ordered Brock to remain at least 500 feet from both victims, as well as their home, school, and workplace.
